Sweet Caroline

“Sweet Caroline” is an AQHA mare standing 15 hands high. You are not just bringing home a 15 year old horse, you’re bringing home a horse with 15 years of experience. She is equal parts gentle, educated, and kind. A horse with a resume far more impressive than most any other horse can offer. She has spent countless early mornings waiting patiently at horse shows, calming the nerves of her anxious riders; waiting to do her thing when they get to the ring. She has helped many young girls take their first trot, and canter, steps; being as steady and forgiving as one could be. Babysat the children and guests, on all terrain, while we do a days work on the ranch; always bringing them home safe. She has restored confidence in older amateur riders who needed a safe and reliable ride after a bad fall. Sweet Caroline is not just a horse, she is a faithful companion and tried and true partner. She can do absolutely ANY job, with any rider, and do it well. From ranch work, roping, trail riding, dressage, jumping, and more. This mare is a truly one of a kind partner that is one in a million. English, western, bareback, and even bridleless; Sweet Caroline keeps her riders safe, happy, and 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 - no matter their age or experience level. You will search far and wide for a horse with the expertise, versatility, and tolerance that Sweet Caroline has.

In the ring, we have a saying. If you can’t ride this horse, you probably shouldn’t be riding any horse ever again. She has gone around with every age and level of rider you can imagine. Adults riding for the very first time, young children learning to steer, older kids thinking they are jockeying in the Kentucky Derby, amateurs looking for an educated horse to build confidence and further their skills with, and old pros just looking to relax and enjoy a horse with all the buttons; Sweet Caroline has been a partner for them all. She can read a room, and knows if it’s time to slowly walk on the buckle, or break out the moves for the show ring. She has three lovely gaits, seamless transitions, and a great attitude. She is adjustable, easy to sit, and just a joy to ride in every aspect. She will perform a reining pattern just as easily as she will put together a dressage test. She will jump a course, do the lesson horse job, and loves to hit the cross country field! Under western tack, Sweet Caroline will really work a rope, spin, stop, side pass, and carry the flag at the rodeo. If there’s an equestrian sport for it, this mare has probably given it a go at some point. She is just as content doing a dressage or working equitation clinic as she is going to a sorting or team penning on a Saturday night. Everyone in the family can do something different with her!

Outside of the ring, you won’t find a better horse. Sweet Caroline knows a days work on the ranch, and is a true trail master. She is safe and sure footed on all terrain, and has seen it all. On the ranch, she is stout to the horn, and is no stranger to roping and doctoring cattle. If hacks around the farm with the after your lesson are more your speed, Sweet Caroline is happy to do that too! Her smooth, steady gaits are perfect for a glass of wine with the ladies on a sunset stroll. She’s gone on plenty of hunter paces, paper chases, and has even been out hunting! Whether you want to work on the ranch, relax on the trails, or hit the hunt field - Sweet Caroline is your partner for it all.

In the barn, Sweet Caroline is gentle and kind. The kids climb all over her, braid her, and love on her all day long. She’ll stay standing where you left her, tied or not. Her ground manners are fantastic, and she genuinely loves getting attention from everyone in the barn. She has no mare tendencies, and gets along well with both people and other animals. She is an easy keeper, that requires no maintenance. She’s happy living inside or out, and is the same if she’s ridden twice a day or once a month.
