Dreaming of the perfect mix of education, experience, and versatility? Jetson is a 6 year old Draft cross gelding standing 15.2 hands. Jetson has fantastic flatwork, has hunted this whole past year in 1st and 2nd flight, has show experience, and is even broke to ride western too! He is the kind of horse that thrives on relationship and loves to have his one person. If you enjoy bonding and building a relationship, and having a horse you can then take on any adventure - Jetson is your man.

In the arena, I don't know if I've ever had such well-broke and dreamy draft cross. He goes both English and western, neck reins, knows just about all of the lateral work, and will ride long and low on a loose rein, or correctly in the bridle when asked. He will put together 1st level tests with ease and is well on his way to 2nd. He will jump a 3' course, and has schooled up to Novice xc with TONS of scope for more. He is a great mover, the perfect mix of whoa and go, and just a dream to ride.

Outside of the arena, Jetson is calm, cool, and collected. He's done quite a bit of hunting and has had nothing but great notes from his riders. He has been trail ridden everywhere, and nothing seems to bother him. He'll ride along freight trains, heavy traffic, and in town. He also loves to swim, and is just as happy going to a schooling show as he is going on a weekend camping trip. Jetson will ride alone, in a group, and is great to trailer and tie.

In the barn, Jetson is very polite and mannerly. He very much enjoys forming a relationship with his person, and comes out of his shell once he knows that you two are a team. He's a good boy for all of the usual barn tasks, and stands politely as long as he's asked to. He is happy living inside or out, and gets along well with his pasture mates.

​

Jetson is a very straightforward horse,  but he does have a preferred routine when it comes to mounting. As shown in his video, he stands quietly to be mounted from the ground and is asked to to side-pass over to a mounting block, truck bed, log, or other elevated surface when mounting that way.

 

The one thing Jetson does not appreciate is an unorganized mount, such as being given a leg up or someone scrambling aboard from an awkward position. He simply prefers a rider who mounts in a deliberate and consistent manner.

 

For riders who appreciate clear communication and good manners, this is a non-issue and quickly becomes part of his routine. Once aboard, Jetson is the same dependable, willing partner you see throughout his video, ready to tackle any adventure you can dream up.
