Hermione is a 4 year old Friesian x Quarter Horse mare standing 15.3 hands high. She is wise beyond her years, thoughtful, and just so fun to ride. Hermione is confident over fences, and balanced on the flat. She is the type that can go event, hunt, do a dressage test, and hit the trails for a relaxing ride all with the same quiet mind and confidence her rider needs. She would be equally happy as a partner for the show ring as she would enjoy the lifestyle as a family horse. Horses like Hermione are so special because she has all the talent and ability, a rock solid foundation, all combined with a gentle nature and amateur friendly brain - She really checks all of the boxes for so many folks. She is the type you can hop on and do something new with every day, and she will never let you down!

In the ring, Hermione is everyone's favorite. English, or western, she will ride around with balance, and the most comfortable gaits. Lope circles  on a loose rein, or ask her to collect and practice dressage tests.  Her canter is one you'll want to ride all day long! From day one, Hermione's natural ability to adjust her gaits with such balance has been one of my favorite parts about her. On the cross country course, she is a total blast! There was no fence she blinked at, and always gets you to the other side - even if you put her at a wonky distance. She is the type of horse that gives you confidence every step of the way when you're jumping. Even at her age, she feels confident and trustworthy to, and over, every fence.

Off property and on the trails, Hermione is reliable and happy. She is used to loading up and going places, and she does not get worked up in new environments. She has great trailer manners, and will go off alone or in a group! On the trails, Hermione is a superstar. She crosses water, is safe to ride through town, and will cross any obstacle you put in front of her. She is used to dogs, deer, and ATV's darting out on the trails, and has been a reliable partner everywhere we have taken her!

In the barn, Hermione is gentle and sweet. She loves forming a bond with her person, and thrives on relationship. She is an easy keeper that is happy living inside or out, and gets along well with her pasture mates. She is not mare-ish, and has a really great head on her shoulders.
