Marco

When you sit down and list everything you could possibly want in a horse, Marco is the result. This gelding is truly the best of the best. I trust him completely with riders of any age or experience, in any environment, and in any job. Whether you're looking for a confidence boosting partner for yourself or a safe, dependable schoolmaster for the kids, Marco keeps every rider secure, comfortable, and smiling from start to finish. If there was one horse I could clone, it would be him, a thousand times over. I love absolutely everything about Marco. From his brains, to his personality, his versatility, and his ability to make every ride feel like pure enjoyment and confidence.

Marco is a 7 year old Quarter Horse gelding standing 15.1 hands high. I had this guy in my program a few years ago - some of these clips are included in his video - and when his owners came to me saying they unfortunately had to sell him, I quickly jumped at the chance to have him back and to have the opportunity to ensure he went to another loving, and caring (and hopefully forever) home. Marco is the type of horse that would fit into virtually any program. He may look like just a plain bay little Quarter Horse, but he is so much more than meets the eye. He has done a bit of everything, and does it all safely and skillfully. From eventing, dressage, local shows, leadline, hunter paces, ranch work, trail riding, and so much more. Anything you can do with a saddle and bridle, you can do bareback with a rope around his neck. He is many things, but above all he is trustworthy. There is no ride where you will ever feel uneasy. He instantly makes you feel at home, secure, and confident.

In the ring, Marco is a point and shoot schoolmaster. He rides English and western, and will easily put together dressage tests or jump a course. A beginner will enjoy him just as much as a seasoned rider will. He has great transitions, lateral work, and is a perfect mix of whoa and go. Under western tack, Marco has a good neck rein, stop, and will turn around. He's had a rope thrown off him, and is a great teacher for the little ones. His gaits are smooth and comfortable, he will take a joke, and handles rider error like a champ. Over fences, Marco is so much fun. He always gets his rider to the other side, is adjustable, and honest to every fence.

On the trails and off property, Marco is Mr. Reliable. Send him off on the trails with any rider and know they will come home safe. Load up and go anywhere without having to worry. He goes wherever you ask him and crosses all obstacles, water, and is safe along busy roads. Marco has experience in all aspects of ranch work. He's done and seen it all and nothing gets him worked up. Load him up and go anywhere!

In the barn, Marco is a buddy. He loves attention and being around his people. He has a great, kind, personality and is used to little ones running around and climbing on him. He is such an easy horse to have around, and is happy living inside or out. He's easy to catch and easy to get along with.
