Maui is a coming 4 year old registered Quarter Horse mare standing 15 hands high. This mare is beauty, brains, and talent wrapped into one perfectly sized package. She has the absolute best personality, this mare wants to be your friend and be a part of the family. She’s been thoughtfully started and given the kind of foundation that sets her up for success in absolutely any discipline. With her temperament and training, Maui is an ideal match for an amateur seeking a trustworthy, sensible young horse to parter with and enjoy for many years to come.

 

Broke both western and English, Maui’s upbringing has been nothing short of versatile. She has already proven herself to be a fantastic partner in the eventing and dressage arenas, showing bravery, willingness, and talent! Despite her age, she is wise beyond her years—sensible, forgiving, and exceptionally smart. She is putting together dressage tests, understands basic lateral work, and is easily schooling age appropriate fences in the ring and on the cross country course. She is very easy to flat, will ride round in the bridle, and has great adjustability. Maui is comfortable and simple to ride. Our kids can walk and trot her around, and even ride her double! 

 

Under western tack, Maui rides one handed on a loose rein. She has been exposed to cows, has a nice stop, a good turnaround, and great handle to her. She would excel in ranch riding and ranch versatility. 

 

On the trails and off property, Maui is happy to take in the new sights and go off new places. She is used to hopping in the trailer and going new places. She will trail ride alone or in a group, and will cross all the obstacles on the trail. She is happy to cross water, bridges, logs, and rides safely on the roads with traffic. 

 

In the barn, Maui is a very good girl. She’s happy in a stall or in the pasture, and gets along well with her pasture mates. Maui loves every bit of attention she can get. Give her scratches and she’ll be your best friend. The kids braid and groom her and she soaks up all of the love. She requires no maintenance and is an easy keeper.
