Oakley

Oakley is a 7 year old large pony gelding. We just love this pony to bits! He is the perfect little do it all guy, that everyone enjoys riding and being around. He has been used in lessons, is a trail master, and just a great all around family pony. He is happy to leadline the little ones, or jump all the fences on the cross country course with the adults or older kids too! He’s the kind of horse that you can enjoy any discipline on and be safe doing it. He’s just as happy being painted and dressed up like a unicorn as he is jjumping on the cross country course, or out riding with the cattle. 

 

IIn the ring, Oakley is straightforward and easy. He has three smooth and comfortable gaits, great brakes, and picks up both leads easily. He will ride English or western, and loves to jump!  On the cross country course, he is a blast! He is brave, honest, and enjoys being out there. He will always jump, and is happy to help his rider out of a bad spot. 

 

On the trails, Oakley is a solid citizen. The kids take him out bareback in a halter and ride all over the farm. He will swim, cross streams, ride into town, and is safe in traffic. He'll ride double with the kids, or be ponied off a big horse.  He doesn’t blink an eye at a thing, and is as close to bombproof as they come.

 

In the barn, Oakley is a barn favorite! He is very used to kids, dogs, and other animals running all about. He’s a good boy for all the usual barn tasks, and is a total pleasure to have around. Oakley lives outside in a mixed herd of mares and geldings, is always the first to the fence to greet his people. He’s an easy keeper that has no maintenance or vices.
