Simba is an 8 year old 1/2 Gypsy Vanner 1/4 Quarter Horse 1/4 Percheron gelding standing 15.3 hands high. Simba has beauty, brains, and a kind personality that makes everyone fall in love! It's hard to pin point the best part about this horse, because he really checks every box. He's a dream in the arena, steady on the trails, and a perfect gentleman in the barn. He is the perfect mix of athletic ability, and slow and steady. Simba is exactly the type of versatile, family friendly, horse that we aim to offer. No matter what discipline you ride, or your experience level, you will enjoy and love this horse. He can go from jumping Novice questions on the xc field, to sliding stops and loping circles like a reining horse. Let the kids climb on him and braid his hair, then saddle him up and take your husband on a trail ride. He is a true all-in-one, safe and fun for the entire family, tried and true partner.
In the ring, Simba is broke the very best. He has had extensive training and has the ride ability to be successful in any arena. He is schooling first level dressage tests, and has gone to working equitation clinics. He has great lateral work, pivots, neck reins, and has a great sliding stop. His gaits are smooth and comfortable, with fantastic transitions. He is happy riding on a loose rein, or being round in the bridle. The professional will enjoy him as much as a beginner will. He is tolerant, safe, and steady for the novice rider or kids - yet still has all the moves and education needed to succeed and impress with the experienced riders. You will never find yourself bored in the saddle!
On the trails and off property, Simba is sure footed and reliable. He will trail ride alone or in a group, and will happily cross water, ditches, steep hills, and bravely covers any terrain. He is used to loading in the trailer to go new places for trail rides, camping trips, clinics, and schooling. On the cross country field, Simba is a superstar! There was not a single question that fazed him. He is adjustable, brave, and easy! He would be a phenomenal choice for the hunt field as well. He is quiet minded, smart with his feet, and already used to the fences, varying terrain, and environment.
In the barn, Simba is a kind and gentle soul. He is used to the kids being around him, braiding him, and loving on him. He's a very good boy for all of the usual barn tasks, and stands like a gentleman for bathing, grooming, the farrier, and vet. He is easy to load on the trailer, stand tied to and on the trailer, and is overall an easy guy to be around. He is happy living inside or out, and gets along with mares and geldings in turnout.
