Sonrisa
Sonrisa is an 18 year old Warmblood mare by Kashmir Von Schuttershof standing 16.2 hands high. This lovely lady has competed, and won, at virtually every big venue up and down the east coast. From the Grand Prixs, to the children's jumpers, to teaching little ones to canter, and first jumps - Sonrisa has a resume that can't be beat. If you want an educated, experienced, and uncomplicated horse to learn the ropes on - this is your girl. She has no quirks, no questions, and is a dream to have in the barn. Sonrisa is a true packer and schoolmaster that will always take care of her rider. Whether you want to bring home the blues, or get your confidence up at home, Sonrisa is more than happy to do the job. Horses don't come any better than her, she is truly an asset.
In the ring, Sonrisa rides like a lesson horse. She does what's asked and does it safely. She has easy lead changes, will ride in the bridle, or on a loose rein. She is tolerant of nervous, timid, and beginner riders, and is happy to take things slow and steady. Over fences, this mare is an expert. She will trot cross rails with first timers, or go win the in meter classes. You really can't go wrong with her, she jumps from any distance, over any fence. She needs no prep, no schooling, and is just an honest schoolmaster in every way.
Outside of the ring, Sonrisa is happy to stroll around the farm or go on a trail ride. She is used to golf carts, bikes, and all the usual excitement of a horse show. She has been to just about every big show venue on the east coast and has a been there done that attitude in the show ring. She is point and shoot, reliable, and a winner!
In the barn, Sonrisa is a total sweetheart. Everyone who meets her, loves her. She has the best personality, you just want to hang out in her stall with her and never leave the barn! She is not mare-ish, and is such a good girl in the barn. She's easy to trailer, clip, bathe, and be around in general. We have no complaints about her, she's worth her weight in gold!
