Hampton

Some horses carry you -- and some horses change the way you feel about riding. Hampton is the kind that restores confidence, softens nerves, and reminds you why you fell in love with horses in the first place. He is every adult amateurs dream. From the moment you see him in the barn, the world slows down. The moment you swing a leg over his back, you can relax and smile. Hampton is the once in a lifetime  partner that will give you confidence again, and happiness every ride -- for years to come. We have done it all with Hampton; eventing, dressage, roped calves in the pasture, gone to working equitation clinics (and he was a champ!), trail riding and camping trips, ponied the kids around the ranch, and much much more. Hampton isn't your average draft cross, he's a jack of all trades that can safely be enjoyed by any rider.

Hampton is a 6 year old Friesian x Quarter Horse gelding standing 16.1 hands high. If you've followed our page, you can check out his half brother, Carter. Hampton is the type of horse that everyone loves. Whether you ride him, or not, he will quickly steal your heart. His personality is gentle and kind. He loves to be loved, and will have everyone laughing when he nuzzles you and scratches your back! Under saddle, he is a dream. Watching his video doesn't even do him justice, he looks amazing, but when you climb into the saddle, I promise you'll never want to climb down.

In the ring, Hampton has three exceptional gaits. He is comfortable, easy to sit, and as adjustable as they come. He is well broke both English and western; he neck reins, knows all the lateral work, pivots, side passes, opens and closes gates, rides in the bridle or on a loose rein, lopes off from a standstill, and has great transitions. He has all the buttons you could want, yet is still tolerant of a beginner, or timid rider and will not over-face someone who is just starting out. Whether you want to move up the levels, get back into riding again, or just want a trusty parter to grow and try new things with - Hampton is your man.

Outside of the arena, Hampton is the best partner. We have taken him to work in the feedlots, roped off him, gone sorting, and camping. He's a blast on the cross country field and on hunter paces! He is a trail master deluxe - and will cross any terrain with ease and confidence. Ride him through town, the drive thru, and over bridges. He is safe in traffic, rides alone, and has been exposed to hounds. Hampton is very used to loading up and going new places. He handles new environments like a champ, and needs no prep to get right to work.

In the barn, you will instantly fall in love with Hampton. His personality is one of a kind, and his manners are as good as you could ever ask for. He's a good boy for all the usual barn tasks, and is well behaved in his stall and in the pasture. He gets along well with his pasture mates, and is happy living inside or out. Hampton has no quirks or vices. He is an easy keeper that has been true pleasure to have in our barn.

We have a recent, clean vet check on file.
